The lowest prices in gas I've seen since last year are now $2.99! That's awesome! I'm glad the prices have finally let up a bit. People who drive constantly rely on low gas prices. This decrease in prices will maintain itself if the Oil Gods have mercy. But my suspicion, which should be taken with a grain of salt, is that the prices are political schemes. Think back if you can to 2004. The incumbent President Bush faced losing office because of high gas prices and a terrible war. It is my recollection that the price of gasoline became incredibly low during that time. Perhaps as low as $2.00/gallon.
This year we also face an administration hell bent on getting McCain elected. It's no shock that they would do everything in their power to control the prices of oil. After all, George Bush was an oil man. As we all know from The Will Be Blood, Oil men tend to be serious about their business. If I could bet on the prices of gasoline I would say they are low but they will go higher. Only time will tell.
Now is the time to cut oil out of your diet completely, or at least significantly.

The television blares all morning long about the impending economic doom our country is about to face. MSNBC and their little Dow Jones ticker constantly jumps from negative 777 to a positive 638 points. Who the fuck cares? It's all doom and gloom. What does this have to do with saving money? Well cancel your Cable subscription, that will help out a whoole lot.
Say what? You're addicted to TV? That can't stop you from threatening to cancel your TV subscription. For example, today I called and complained that my TV was spewing the crap of satan into my living room. I'm concerned that my non-existant children are watching too much TV. So naturally I want to cancel. But the man on the other line is sorry I want to cancel my cable TV. So he tells me about parental controls and gives me one free month of TV to "test" the tech nanny. I figured I would give it a go, why not? I'm not paying for it!
It was completely unexpected that I would get free TV for threatening to cancel my service. Perhaps we all could do the same? I'm going to try this more often. Cheers, especially to the dude who gave me free TV.

SEOUL, Oct 15th - South Korean courts ruled against a secret agent for extracting military secrets from top officials in return for sexual favors. She has been sentenced to prison for five years, officials reported.
Won Jeong-hwa, 34, was arrested one month ago after falling under suspicion of being a pro-Pyongyang defector. She posed as a defector willing to give the locations of top secret military sites in return for sexual favors. Her mission was to infiltrate South Koreas military and assasinate key figures. Won was trained by the North Korean Commandos to take out her targets with toxic chemicals.
The spy who faced life in prison pleaded to the court that they let her return to see her 7-year-old daughter who she had with a business man in China. Prosecutors portrayed Won in a different light saying she wasn't the meek woman she claimed to be. Pictures showed revealed her scars from commando training.
The North's media despises her for leaving the country calling her "human scum crazy for money, vanity and swindling."
But despite the sensational details of attempts to subvert South Korean society and the defectors' community, Won's mission went largely unaccomplished, according to media reports.

This recession we're going through probably isn't as bad as the recession of the 30's. We spend the the day staring at our screens watching the markets jump up and down. Yet we don't feel like we're in a recession, yet. Optimism has its place, but truth is the better medicine. The truth is taht things are gonna get a lot worse before they get any better. Markets will fall, government will fall, people will fall from grace and do some things they regret. It's gonna get tough for all of us. Gas prices are going to shoot up once November 4th rolls around. The $3.50 gas prices right now can't stay that low forever, they're gonna go higher. It seems as if it's a political gesture to control gas prices to make it appear as if everything is OK. Keep going on America, nothing to see here. Keep watching American Gladiator on 56 channels. We have now entered full on socialism. The $700 billion bailout is just what Soviet Russia would have wanted us to have.
The entire country, that is average citizens like you and I, are calling their Representatives and Senators in the US Congress to tell them to vote down the bailout. I urge you to do the same.
It's a bad idea. Just listen to what Ron Paul is saying about it.
